Missouri Living at it's BEST!

According to the latest statistics, Stone County MO single family homes sales last month total was 32 single family - built on site - homes with the highest priced one selling for $910,000 and the lowest priced one selling for only $22,500.  That is 10 more homes that closed escrow than the previous month with a medium price of $150,000.  

This huge increase is home sales is good news as well as that of the lessening short-sale and foreclosure home sales influence in the Stone County & Table Rock Lake Area Singe Family Home Market with 25% of the market.

The most amazing fact is that the highest priced and lowest priced homes sold were both REO properties too.

There were 5 condos that reported being closed through escrows last month which is 3 less than the previous month.  They sold from a high price of $103,000 to $29,900 with a medium price of $61,000. This is not good news for sellers of condos in the current real estate market as 20% were short-sales or foreclosure sales.

La Iguana original Taco & Burrito Resturant opened just east of Cracker Barrel on Hwy 76 a couple years ago and people have fallen in love with the California-style food that is not normally available in this area.  Owner Alex has found demand greater than he could have hoped and is in the process of getting the new La Iguana opened as soon as all the permits and requirements have been met.  It is located on Fall Creek at the corner of Fall Creek Rd. and Hwy 165 in south Branson to provide for another group of locals that want an alternative to the typical Tex-Mex menu served in towns around the Ozarks of Missouri.  I talked with Alex the other day:
